Svagema was sitting on the roof of the barn watching the workers labor in the under the warm sun. The air was humid and without wind. Sounds of animals and various farming tools resounded throughout the farm. A group of vultures circled overhead. Maybe one of the workers had passed out.
He was just about to drift into a lazy slumber when there came a commotion from the barn. The horses were going wild about something.

Svagema sighed and picked up his lasso, twining it about his arm to have access t oadditional length as needed. He jumped down from his roof, landing gracelessly on his feet with a thud, and approached the barn, lasso spinning at the ready.

Svagema enters the barn, but finds nothing there. Nothing except for a small silver vial, which seems to have fallen out of one of the bales of feed. It seems this is what has been disturbing the horses.

Svagema looked around cautiously as he knelt down to look more closely at the vial, examining it carefully before picking it up in a folded handkercheif and wrapping it up gently then inserting it into his pocket.

The vial is crystal clear, and completely free of grime. The liquid inside is silver, and less viscous than water. The glass stopper has a decoration carved into it.

Svegema looked closely at the stopper, seeing if possibly he cold figure out what the contents were from the decoration. He turned and began walking back to the roof of the house to continue watching the goings on of the farm.

The decoration is a swirly pattern; nothing that could help identify the contents. Back on the roof of the barn, the rest of the day passes without incident. It is now night, and the laborers have finished their work for the day.

Svagema climbs down from the roof and wanders inside to fix himself dinner, setting the little vialup against a folded napkin so it stood still and looked more closely at the contents. "Well, you aren't Mercury...I know that..." He said to the little vial, gesturing to it with his fork. "You aren't all..." He made a balling motion with his fingers to demonstrate Mercury's natural tenancy to form drops. "Y'know..." He reached over and picked up the vial again. He shrugged and grasped the stopper. "Well, if you aren't quicksilver, I won't die just from opening you, right?" He removed the glass stopper from the vial...

The silver liquid evaporates into a mist almost immediately. It forms a featureless face and speaks in a voice that sounds like hoes tilling the earth.
"Only one shall I grant of three; Strength, Intellect, or Agility?"

Svagema sits shocked for a moment before raising an eyebrow. He leans closer to the face. "...What matter of gifts would each bestow upon me; These blessings of Strength, Intellect and Agility?"

"Strength shall give you force of life, and to cut through stone with but a knife. Agility shall give control, your body moving with your soul. Intellect gives knowledge vast, and ability to magic cast."

Svagema thought for a moment. "Hmmm...I shall take Agility."

Svagema suddenly feels every fiber in every muscle twitch and tighten, then release. He can feel his body's limits and strengths better, and is more limber. The vial and silver mist are gone.

Svagema looks down at his hands and flexes them. "Agility, eh?" He walks outside and looks upward to the roof of the barn and bends his legs for a jump, then leaps with all his might...
