Name: Vak'rani Terapovuna
Class: Enchanter and Runemaster
Appearance: 5'10, slim but solidly built from years of daily training. Messy black hair that seems to be greasy, but is really just very obedient and always stays arrayed to the back of his head and stay above his shoulders, though beyond that fact it tends to make him look rather rougish and disheveled. His monk's robes, once orange and since dyed black, are now fashioned into a pair of airy pants, fastened at the ankles and waist with bits of rope with the rest left to hang however it will. His rosary, broken in an attack by 15 crazed wolves, has been replaced with a semblance of itself fashioned of the teeth of those very wolves, sun-bleached and chiseled to make them seem more formidable as well as to lessen the broken areas and cracks from when the wolves attempted to chew through Koheu. He wears it wrapped around his right hand, threaded through his fingers into a strange series of loops on the back of his hand which he uses to channel his Focuses during battle. His chest has only one notable scar across its chiseled expanse, a single massive bitemark that begins at just above his navel and engulfs his right shoulder from when the Pack Leader of the Wolves, an unnaturally massive wolf in its own right, almost consumed him whole. His eyes are the green of grass, though looking into them carries the same unsettling feeling as looking over a precipise or standing at the bottom of a sheer cliff.
Fighting Style: Mixed Martial Arts for less serious brawls. He has taken a liking to breaking body parts and hard hitting, what he calls Splinter Punch, attacks are common in his high velocity counterattacks, which he will wait for as long as needed in order to initiate. If pressed to attack first, he sometimes unleashes a deadly array of Earth-Strengthed tearing attacks he named 15 Wolf Night in homage to the crazed animals who had broken his rosary and torn his monk's robes, wrecking the last sembalences and connections to his monastic life. He starts most serious fights with Iaido and Battojutsu in an attempt to end the conflict quickly, but will switch to common Kendo techniques and eventually summon Koheu and weild it in a great Column-Swinging fight style he has yet to have named which utilizes broad swings and rushing stabs to keep his attackers on their toes and out of normal reach. When using his Focuses, he uses his inner flow of energy to channel Mana and draws the needed glyphs, as simple as they are, with his fists and body, making him look as though his is simply exhibitionig or focusing his mind with kata.
Abilities/Skills: Runecasting, Enchanting, Earth Magic (He favors Self-Strengthening Focuses when fighting, but studies all manner of utilizations for Enchantments and Runes and has a habit of inventing entirely new uses on the fly) and Superior Strength (He is able to weild Koheu with one hand, even though it weighs in excess of 1500 pounds)
Focuses: A type of internal Mana infusion that allows a body to take on traits and properties of certain elements. Just like Runecasting, however, the activation of said traits can cause sideeffects, such as a Focus to light one's hand on fire would literally LIGHT ONE"S HANDS ON FIRE, causing horrendous burns, both inside and outside the Focused limb. Therefore, only very few of the Focuses are actually use, such as Vak'rani's Strengh of Earth, allowing him to weild Koheu with one hand and making his hand-to-hand fighting more devastating than it already is.
Items/Artifacts:
Black fitted silk robes with bright green runes that shine brightly when a blow lands(Harder than Granite when struck and fire-resistant)
42" katana made of Enchanted Obsidian, harder and sharper than Steel, with a locking scabbard with 3" spikes all over it.
(Any other information that may be needed): Katana named Hayanu, Column named Koheu
History: Born and raised a monk in the mountains, Vak'rani always disturbed the rest of the monastery for his ideal of swift and heavy-handed retribution brought down upon those who stopped others from their 'own journey' instead of the monastic norm of pacifism and yeilding. And yet, there was a single Sifu amongst the monasts that saw divine potential in the hard-faced boy, Hikou Terapovuna. He took him under his tutelage at 10 and began to train him in the ways of Magic unlike the others new available. He beamed as the child he raised as his own quickly took to the Arts of both Runeology and Enchanting wholeheartedly, even formulating theorums that they could be used in conjunction with less static substances. Vak'rani made his fabled Runed Robes at the age of 13, the effort taking a full year as he tried new thechniques and robes, peices of furniture and eyebrows were lost. Hikou beamed at the boy's prodigious (some say unnatural) progress and as a reward wreathed the robe in secret runes that allowed the Runes of the robe to draw just enough Mana from Vak'rani's surroundings to allow them to function independant of the boy's will. At 15, the boy began to exhibit unusual taste in fighting styles other than the endurance based styles of the monastary, such as the viscious Tiger Style, the elusive Crane and many others. Each of these he took into himself and made his own, until eventually the indiviual Styles could only be distingushed blow-by-blow and even then only if one was skilled enough to know them all by heart. Around 16 he developed his Focuses, techniques he use to infuse his Mana within portions of his body, and thus the bodypart itself, with the power of the Elements. He realized the risk in doing this, however, and so only uses it to provide his limbs with the Strength of Earth, making his blows land as hard and unyeilding as stone. At the age of 18, or 'Age of Ascendance', he was sent forth into the world armed only with his Ancestor Gift, the katana known as Hayanu, and his Runed Robes. Within a year he had learned the secret of Hayanu's spikes and by the end of the second year could produce Koheu, a five foot long, fourteen inch wide column of grey granite, from the ground quickly using Mana to wrap the sheathe in rock and condense it, the spikes keeping the mass of stone in place. Though both his monk's robes and his rosary were broken, He wanders the land, learning new Enchanting methods and techniques to prepare for whatever his Purpose may be.
