Name: Acria Xes
Title: None
Class:
Holder of Elemental Blood (Ice)
Holder of Elemental Blood (Death)
Mage
Appearance: Those who had happened upon a glance at her would have been surprised indeed to find within the shadows moving a cloaked form, barely able to see. In fact, had it not been for her silver-white hair trailing out of the hood of her cloak, they would have mistaken her as an illusion, a trick of the mind. Yet they did see her and her streaming hair flowing out the sides of the shadowed hood, matted against the cloak as the wind blew faintly towards her. They peered deeper, trying to get some sense that this was simply not an illusion, and could barely make out the silver streaks imprinted on her cloak, looking of almost elven magick. "An elf..?" They did not mean to, but the question had escaped their lips as soon as it had appeared in their mind. The figure suddenly stopped, and looked directly at her watcher. Again, they could see nothing but the long, flowing cloak encrusted in silver runes denied the reflection of the moon, and the silver-white hair... no... there was something more. Yes, inside the hood, they could see two glistening orbs... almost white, but tinted with a shade of blue. They stared at the orbs, and the orbs simply stared back. They had almost been certain that it was an animal that had chanced upon a mage, for certainly no being would sit and watch as this one had... however, they immediately changed their mind as darkness began to swirl around the orbs, enveloping it. The light had almost been snuffed out... and indeed it had, for the light blue orbs were gone... but in their place glew a black, shimmering in the shadows by some unforseen magick. Suddenly the figure was gone, and the observer stumbled back, looking for the object of his watch for several minutes. He soon realized where said object was as he lurched forward, choking blood, as he felt an ice cold hand grasp his heart inside his body, and begin to crush it.
Fighting Style: Having been blessed the Elemental Blood of Ice by her mentor, Jericho Clee, she had used it in a variety of ways. She used the ice almost as if a second fighter, strong, agile, and yet impervious to the effects of it's enemies. It could break, but even then, as the shards filled the air before gravity wrenched them to the ground below, she could use them against her opponent. Let it be known that the ice around her was not her only weapon. She could, in fact, cover her body in ice, and conform it to her will, granting her the ability of not only armor, but any weapon she wished it to form. If she invokes the power of the Elemental Blood of Death, then she can control anything of skeletal composition within eyesight. She uses this power in conjunction with her Bone Blade to will it across the field of battle.
Skills: Acria's skills lie almost entirely in the powers of her Elemental Bloods.
Elemental Blood: Elemental Bloods are tricky things to handle, and can only be activated once at a time. Switching may only take seconds, but after the switch, only the abilities of the newly used Elemental Blood are allowed to the holder. Elemental Bloods work by focusing energies. The longer the focus, the greater the effect. For example, if Acria were to well up energy for a long period of time using her Elemental Blood of Death, she could reach into her opponent and grasp their very soul, wrenching it from it's physical prison and releasing it to the realm of the afterlife. Should Acria well up her energy by using her Elemental Blood of Ice, she could instead cause an area to cool to the temperature of Absolute Zero (Celcius) by simply touching it.
Elemental Blood of Ice: Long before his death by his brother, Jericho had bled the Elemental Blood of Ice from him, tranfusing it into young Acria. The Elemental Blood allows her to cause the temperature around her to drop, as well as control frozen objects. With this power she can create ice at will where she touched, and to spread it somewhat slowly from there on. With creation she also had control, she only need acknowledge the presence of ice to bend it to her will. This allows her to use ice anywhere she pleases, and allows her to stay focused on her opponent. Being completely hidden from sight and only fixating her eyes on her opponent makes her extremely hard to read. This power is named as such because water is one of the most common freezeable compounds, and so ice is primarily.
Elemental Blood of Death: In the last moments of his life, Jericho bled the Death Blood into a vial. The forced expulsion of an Elemental Blood put an extreme strain on him, causing an effective suicide. However, Acria had obtained the vail, as was Jericho's intention, and had drunk it. The Elemental Blood of Death allows her to control anything of skeletal composition within eyesight, shaping it or controlling it's movements. It also allows her to affect living flesh, or even souls, by touching them.
Magus Nex: Jericho had long studied the effects Elemental Bloods have on the holders, and had discovered a loophole to restriction it puts on mana. Normally, Elemental Blood would stop the development of mana in the holder. That also meant that it couldn't eradicate mana that was already developed. He trained Acria to develop her mana before he died, but sadly she had only progressed a little before he realized she wasn't able to muster a large amount of mana. He did not voice his disappointment. He instead taught her the spell of Magus Nex, which teleports the caster to any knowledgeable location within 100 yards. Her low capacity for mana allows her a very low number of uses, perhaps only four, but is still an extremely useful technique considering she shouldn't have mana at all.
Weapon: Bone Blade
The Bone Blade is simply a construction and melding of the bones of fallen soldiers she deemed unworthy to fit inside the Staff of a Thousand Bones. The blade doesn't trap the souls inside it, unlike the Staff of a Thousand Bones, but instead simply uses them to elonagate and widen the blade. The blade cannot be deconstructed, unless by magic, for it is a magical melding. In fact, it cannot be cut, but that does not mean it cannot be blocked, only that any harm caused to it will not leave it's mark. This blade is usually used in conjunction with Acria's Elemental Blood of Death.
Item: Staff of a Thousand Bones
The Staff of a Thousand Bones is a construction of bones who's owners souls have been stored within. Adorned near the top are two deep impressions beside a skull, obiviously meaning for two other skulls to fill thier vacancies. Before Jericho bled the Elemental Blood of Death from himself, he had rigged his Soul Gem to incorporate his soul into the staff, and seal the gem itself inside of it. After his sacrifice, it did so, but at the price of sealing the staff's power until it was complete. This was what had been intended, for the Staff's use before it was complete would only ruin it. It's original intention would be to summon all those whose souls were locked inside at a whim, the mana from the stolen souls fueling the power to summon them. Acria had taken Jericho's skull and melded it to the top of the staff in her grief, allowing her to constantly remember all that he had done for her. However, it stands incomplete, and will remain so for some time. Acria can only look upon it and remember that if she ever wanted to see Jericho again, she must complete the staff. For her, there is no other goal in life, no other chance at letting emotion overrun her.
History: Acria Xes was born into a family of mages who participated in a mage academy as instructors. She was pampered by her parents, her family, her siblings, until the tender age of six. On a fateful day just a week before her sixth birthday, a large group of spellcasters, mage, wizard, and sorceror alike, raided and destroyed the academy and it's surrounding complexes. Jericho had been following them for some time, thinking that his brother had been at the helm of this band of marauders, and had rushed into action as soon as they attacked. He could not reveal himself, and instead looked for any he could save. In the new desctruction of the compounds, he happened upon a stunned little girl with bleached white hair, wide-eyed and whimpering as tears streamed down her face. He bundled her quickly into his arms and fled away. It was only after they were safe did he comfort her and realize that she could become his apprentace. Little did he know that the trauma had locked away her capacity for mana, and that there was little he could do with his limited knowledge of the magical source to unlock it. Regardless, he raised her as his own. When she had budded into a beautiful young girl at the age of 12, and had been able to gain a small capacity for mana, he gave her the Elemental Blood of Ice that he had taken from the previous keeper. After the transfusion, he quickly realized something was wrong. He reasearched what he could, and performed several tests, indicating that his lifespan had been considerably shortened. This, however, played into his hand. He had discovered the path to immortality through Half Death and Half Life, and could attain it so long as he died naturally. He waited patiently for his death, and taught Acria more in depth about her new abilities in his rest. She learned quickly, and became more of a master of the blood's abilities than he had been able to manage. When she had become a young adult, she had left to gather food and supplies the duo would need, and returned to a battle-in-the-making. Jericho's brother and a group of others had assailed her mentor, and were clearly winning. In a fell swoop of determination to save Jericho, she unleashed a tide of ice needles at them. They were surprised and stun by the sudden change of events, and several had even died. Jericho used this opportunity to eliminate the rest of his enemies, but had been mortally wounded by his brother. However, he had escaped, glad that he knew his brother would die. As Jericho lay bleeding on the ground, he told Acria his secret of immortality, of the Staff he so wished to create, as he forced the Elemental Blood of Death from his being. She crouched low and took in all of the information, looking for some way to help him, but quickly realized that he had passed on with a vial in his hand. She drunk it's contents, as was Jericho's instruction, and then quickly gathered all that she could to fufill her master's dream.
In the aftermath of Jericho's death, Acria gathered as many bones from as many sources as possible, strong or not, to complete the staff. As it stands, with only 67 bones left before achieving it's limit, Acria realized her folly, and now only accepts the strongest of warrior souls to take residence in the staff. However, she wishes not to waste even the bones of the weak, and had devised another item, the Bone Blade. The arena is merely a step she must take in order to achieve her dream of seeing her mentor again.
