NPC - Kazeriki
A manifestation of the ever changing winds Kazeriki is in charge of defense ministry of wind. He leads all the wind spirits in their conflict for supremacy of the elements. Kazeriki is so powerful that even the fire lords grow silent at the very sound of his name. However with the current alliance of Earth and Water not even the skybourne could hold back against the blast of rock and wave. Looking for reinforcements Kazeriki decided they needed the Wandering winds , their long lost brothers from many aeon ago. Finding Ursong lying their in front of their old shrine. Seeing their chance as well as a friend Kazeriki tasked Ursong with finding the Spirits. Rejoicing in the found of his long lost brothers Kazeriki gave him the gift of Kaldresh a enchanted mystical Bo staff. However that was not the least of his worries the war of his race was enclosing and now Ursong is their only hope.
Background for orbs
Now the wandering spirits were trapped in orbs by humans, imprisoned to use the spirit's powers to do as they saw fit. However over the years people slowly forgot the orbs and the various seals and command words over them. The spirits secretly wished for their saviour the one who would rejoin them to the Skybourne.This is when Ursong came , The spirits rejoiced and pledged their help.
How the orbs work
Many of u don't understand how my "orbs" work so i will try to explain to the best of my ability and intention
Etched on the surface of the orb are various seals and runes of binding. With word commands other runes (of unbinding) will activate allowing the user to harness the power of the trapped wind spirit at their whim. The power actually allowing the use of these is pure elemental energy from the winds and natural occurances thus is somewhat related to mana. The user's mana is used to power the runes and then to harness it so if u knew the runes and how to control mana then u'd know how to use the orbs. All the wind attacks etc. are made from pure elemental energy.
The Orb is a anchor (of sort) which encases and anchors the spirit's essence to the material dimension. This is the reason their take a whole day to recharge. In a matter of speaking the "recharge" period is actually dismissing the spirit back to the astral plane to recover their lost essence. As soon as the period is up the seals of binding reactivate forcefully re- summoning the spirit back to the orb to be used. This to a spirit is like being dragged along the ground then a tap seeps their powers out.
Ursong's pact and relation to Orbs
With Ursong's pact to the wind spirits it allows more freedom to the spirits and even freedom (in the case of Winion). However the wind spirits still obey Ursong but instead of being forced are asked to do what he says. In Ursong's case it's very special since he has barely to almost no control of mana. His own wellspring is actually quite average. Yet he manages to have very accurate and acute control of his wind attacks and conjuring. This is partly possible because his pact ring gives him certain knowledge which is explained to his understanding than just reading out of a spellbook. With the seals on the orbs Ursong didn't have a way to access the power of the wind spirits however over a few years with the combined knowledge of the entrapped wind spirits, Kazeriki and the ring he was able to figure out the commands. With his pact to kazeriki and the Wandering winds was able to twist the rules regarding the orbs. he is now able to release more energy than thought possible by the original creators of the orb. He may also use wind to even shape wind constructs to help or act as a useable source of energy if he happens to be unable to control too much at any one time.
