Svagema~Entaris

As Svagema poses his threat, there is a flash of unknown source, and the makeshift spear is sliced in half, leaving him holding a 3 foot long stick. A voice comes from outside.
"He must be the target. Waste no time."
The large man speaks again.
"Well the, you can all me your maker, since you're about to meet me!"
He laughs at his own joke, and pulls out his axe. It is built like a giant hatchet. the blade is a foot long, and the handle is about 20 inches long. It looks like it must weigh over 100 pounds, and this man was wielding it with one hand. He waits for Svagema to make the first move, grinning confidently.

Svagema blinks slowly and then sighs as he looks at the stick in his hand. He then...sits down on the floor of the barn. "This is already starting to get rediculous...ok...why are YOU here to kill me?" He asked annoyedly, putting one hand on his knee and leaning slightly with a questioning look on his face.

The large man looks confused.
"To get paid, of course. Now come on, it's no fun killing an unarmed man!"
The voice from outside speaks again.
"Just do it you buffoon! This mist isn't easy to maintain you know!"

Svagema blinked again, looking up at the man. "Paid?...I'm just a rancher, I have no bounty on my head..." He said, sounding perplexed. He looked slowly out to the feilds. "You didn't kill my workers with that mist....did you? I need them to run the feilds...My family will be very cross with me if this ranch goes under while I'm responsible for it..." He said quietly, looking down into his lap breifly then back up.

The big man chuckles.
"On the contrary, our bene-"
"Silence you oaf! Just kill him already! One of the workers managed to slip away when I broke his weapon! We need to hurry before the guards arrive!"
The large man sighs.
"Oh well, if Coda says so, I guess I have to."
He lifts his axe high, and prepares to bring it down on Svagema. Only as he brings it down, the underside of the head catches a beam. The beam is ripped in half, and the barn groans, but the axe blow was deflected by a hair, and is buried in the wall next to Svagema(on his right; the door is to his left, and the man is left handed).

Svagema sighed at the man's statement, but then suddenly sprang forward from his sitting position and swept up the former spearhead, vaulting on the man's arm to bring his entire weight into his attacker's face, his feet aimed at the axeman's face with the spearhead now wedged between them to add a significant point to the coming thunderous impact.

The axeman grunts in pain, and smacks Svagema aside like a fly. The blade hit the man just uner his right eye, but did little to injure him. Svagema rolls into the mist, pain stemming from some cracked ribs(left). The mist is thick, and only made worse by the late afternoon sun.
HP 9/10

Svagema rolls up into a crouch and launches himself back towards the man with the axe, vaulting onto his axe and stomping on one of his hands, planting a knuckle in his eye and then springing off him, then the beam above him to grab the top rung of the ladder to the loft and climbed as quickly as possible, drawing the whip from around himself and backing away from the ladder as he tried to think of a way to set up his new battlefeild to defeat this new opponent. His mind suddenly sparked with an idea. He took a length of rope and tied one end to the handle of he whip, the other he then tied around the base of the training dummy, as it was the heaviest, most solid object in the loft. He then took up a ready position facing the ladder he had just come up, whip at the ready, with the rope coiled behind him inconspicuously.

As Svagema pulls himself in, he finds a silver vial balanced on top of his training dummy. He grabs it quickly and sets up his trap.

"Damned gnat!" bellows the large man.
Svagema waits, ready for the man to come up after him.
"Hey Coda, the guards are probably gonna be here anyways, right? So why don't you get rid of that stupid fog and quicksand and give me a hand here?"
Coda replies.
"Very well. Brace for impact."

Svagema looks at the vial and quickly pops it open, barking "Agility!" at the vial before the mist can even form fully. He stood there, one eye on the vial and the other on the ladder's end.

Two things happen simultaneously. One, the large man comes bursting through the floor of the owlft, axe held up like a battering ram, on a pillar of rock. Second, the muscles in Svagema's body twist and flex. It feels like they are remembering something long forgotten.

Before he can stop himself, he has taken a slash through the air with his scythe. A crescent shaped blur flies through the air and hits the large man diagonally, from hip to shoulder. His armor is cut into, and where there is skin showing, there is now a red line and moderate bleeding. Then, there is a loud bang, and the large man flies backwards, crashing through the wall of the barn, and falling to the ground. A name floats through Svagema's head.

Sonic Breaker

This maneuver has drained him a little, but he feels like he has 4 or 5 more left in him.

Svagema flexes his fist around the scythe in his left hand. -Hmm...that felt...right...- He smiles and walks forward to just before the lip of the barn, so only directly in front of him can see him. He raises his whip and cracks it as close to the man as he can get it to reach, trying to hit the man or at least make him move. "What was that about gnats?" He shouts strikes out a few more times with the whip and brings it back to his side again, watching everything around and the man closely.

The man lies on the ground, twitching a bit at each whip-crack.
"Stone! What happened to you? Skuv!"
Lanterns appear from the entrance to the ranch.
"We'll be back Svagema! You can bet on it!"
Suddenly, Svagema sees coda for the first time. He jumps off of the roof of the barn opposite the one he and Stone were in, and sinks into the ground as if it were water. Stone sinks into the ground similarly. The only noise now is that of the guards coming to the ranch.

Svagema sighed in releif, but felt a strange pang of...regret? He didn't know why, but fighting for his life every day just seemed so...natural, even moreso than working the feilds or tending goats. He untied the rope from his whip and coiled it back around himself again, then hopped down to the ground from the hole in the barn and walked over to the gaurds. "Well, thank you kindly for taking the time out of your busy day to help a rancher in DIRE PERIL!" He griped and pointed at his barn. "One of them blew a HOLE through my Barn! And the other was holding my workers captive! Now, I don't know how other Ranches around here do business, but my workers are quite important to me, and I dislike losing ANY of them for any given time, and being held hostage and almost Killed is kind of high on my 'thiings I don't want to happen to my workers or myself' List." He fumed a bti more, then deflated. "Although, I'm sure you all tried your damndest to get out here...so I thank you anyway. But I'd like you to warn as much of the Region as possible about these two criminals..." He described Stone and Coda as best he could, detailing them and their abilities as closely as he could inside the laws of known Magic. After an exhaustive description, he blinked and looked around. "Where's the one that notified you?"

One of the guards steps forward.
"Hold on there man, we don't have the memory of the gods you know. As per protocol, I must ask you, as well as your workers involved, to make formal reports down at the outpost. "

He leads Svagema and the workers down to the outpost, where they write up a brief report of what occurred. When they finish, the guard shows them the door and gets started on his new headache. Having little else to do, Svagema returns to his ranch.

Svagema first spends an hour beating the living piss out of the combat dummy, even going so far as to hit it with a cross-chop Sonic Breaker, then after a short rest and lunch with his workers as thanks and compensation for the troubles endured that day, he goes to check on the giant hole Stone had made and generally assess damage.

The hole Stone made in the wall can be easily boarded up or repaired. The hole in the floor still has the giant stone pillar under it. The pillar seems to have cracked two of the support beams in the rafters. He decided he should avoid moving around too much up there until it got fixed, as he isn't quite sure what is supporting the floor of the loft anymore.

Svagema walks around the base of the pillar for a few minutes contemplating, then has an idea. He quickly fetches a few workers and some of the copious amounts of spare wood that is lying about the yard from old barns, most of it hardwoods that haven't degraded at all since use, and built a ring around the pillar two feet down from the "ceiling" of the barn, which was nine feet from the ground itself. Then, he secured the sturdiest beams he could find from the ring to various places on the ceiling, so that the weight of the barn now rested solidly on the pillar, making it an even more sturdy structure than originally intended.

After that was completed, he went about training his new found ability, releasing various types of Sonic Bursts and resting whenever he felt the need, so as to not overstress his body. First he tries a cross chop on the dummy, then a normal punch, then tries to channel one through each fist and do a double strike to the middle of it. He then throws a kick to the "head" area and a straight kick to the middle.

The cross chop produces an 'x' shaped cut into the dummy, and the burst is enough to knock it over, despite its large base. A normal punch produces a lance-like ripple which leaves an impressive hole in the dummy(about 3 inches deep). When he channels one through each fist, something incredible happens. The two lance ripples begin to spin around each other. They hit the dummy at the same point, and spin rapidly, drilling into it, before releasing a burst that knocks it over. He feels the need to rest, and continues roughly 12 hours later. The kick to the head region creates a crescent ripple, and the straight kick releases a lance ripple. However, just before the lance ripple hits, the crescent bursts, and diverts the lance into the floor. The lance leaves a splintered hole in the floor, and continues down until it reaches about 6 feet into the ground. The holes are roughly 8 inches wide.

Svagema looks at his hands as he slowly clenches and unclenches his fists. -Ok...so these things can effect each other....what if...?- He thinks to himself and brings his hands together, palms facing each other with his fingers curled, leaving about an eight inch wide gap between palms. He concentrates on the inside space and channels a Breaker down either arm and out the palms...

Just before Svagema releases the sonic breakers, a voice calls out from below.
"Svagema sir, theres a cripple here; says he has some swords for you."

Svagema dusts himself off and smiles. "Thanks, tell him I'll be right there...." He adjusts himself and hops down out of the barn through the hole Stone made, then walks briskly back to the house and to the boy waiting there. He smiles politely, "Hello! Long time no see! So, how'd my weapons come out?" he asked, looking curious.

"See for yourself..." Barry grunts. He tosses a bundle at Svagema. Inside is a beautifully crafted sabre, and two well balanced iron stilettos.
"Now I'll be on my way before you rip off my other arm as well."
Barry stalks off back towards the town.

Svagema blinks for a moment before his mind digs the 'minor' incident back up to the surface. "Oh!...He's STILL on about that?" He comments to the air, then shrugs and takes his new weapons back to the barn and pulls the rapier from its sheathe to test its balance and take some practice swings to get used to the weight of it.

The sword is finely crafted, and suits Svagema well. It takes only a little time to become adjusted to it.
